WHALE WATCHING

It’s the season for whale watching on the Sunshine Coast and people are flocking to Alexandra Headlands to see these fabulous, majestic creatures frolicking in our waters. People come here year after year to watch the seasonal migration of the whales along the Sunshine Coast. It is truly one of the most remarkable and breathtaking experiences you will ever have.

Whale watching season on the Sunshine Coast is a fabulous time of year as everyone, locals and holidaymakers alike, come together to watch as the whales swim north to give birth and mate in the warmer northern waters. SWIM WITH THE WHALES

This is so exciting! For the very first time in Australia, people are being allowed to actually swim with the whales in the ocean. This is sure to be the start of some amazing and exciting adventures for everyone involved.

This fabulous opportunity is being offered by Sunreef at Mooloolaba, in cooperation with the National Parks and Wildlife and the University of the Sunshine Coast. Currently, Sunreef are the only whale watching tours to offer this fabulous new adventure, but there are sure to be more operators introducing their own tours either later this year or over the next few years.
