THE VALLEY RATTLER

Just an easy 60 minutes’ drive north of Alexandra Headlands is the historic Valley Rattler at Gympie. Built during the Gold Rush and updated for safety recently, the Valley Rattler is a 40 km ride of curves, hills and bridges from Gympie to Imbil.

There are historic railway stations to investigate along the journey, markets with lots of local produce or just take in the amazing views and history. The kids will love this old steam train.
